Solution-Oriented Therapy is one of the most popular of the new short-term therapies, it has become popular so quickly because of its accessibility and simplicity. It focuses on the positive things in the lives of people with problems, rather than on their pathology. This form of therapy avoids jargon and diagnostic labelling and favours finding simple solutions even to complex problems. Most people actually have the solutions to their problems, but it is as if they are behind a locked door and don't have the key.
