A Practical Workbook Martin Simmons & Peter Daw - Published October 2010 This book contains a selection of comprehensive self-help programmes for people who suffer from anxiety, depression and the effects of stress. This book is written in the belief that all human beings possess the capacity to influence and change their lives. Moreover, solving peronsal problems is a skill and like any other skill must be learned and mastered through experience. It teaches the reader the necessary skills and then guides the use of those skills through organised action plans and practical self help programs. Allows clients to work on their own problems and at their own pace. Solving personal problems is a skill to be learnt just like any other. Recognising this, Martin Simmons and Peter Daw have outlined a series of practical self-help programmes proven to help people who suffer from stress, anxiety or depression.

It has a positive effect on their lives and is reflected in The Big Issue motto: “helping people help themselves”. For purchasers of the magazine it really is a good read for a good deed.
