Community youth groups get helping hand.

Victoria's peak transport advocate is offering Rebel Sport vouchers to the value of more than $50,000 to Community Youth Groups who can best demonstrate why their group needs assistance.

Entries for the RACV Retail Network Community Youth Group Challenge can be submitted in writing, visual or audio format across four categories - training and development, environmental programs, health and wellbeing and mobility and transport. The challenge is open to all community youth groups but excludes community youth sporting groups.

RACV General Manager Retail, Elliot Watson said the challenge offered a great opportunity for Community Youth Groups to purchase new sports equipment, clothing, shoes or games for their organisation.

"We are offering Rebel Sport vouchers valued around $1,000 each to a winning group from each of our 14 metropolitan retail shops and 27 regional retail stores," said Mr Watson.

"To win, applicants must show a demonstrated need for help and detail how they would be using the Rebel Sport vouchers within their community.

"The creativity of the entry will also be assessed and those applicants that put the effort in to create a memorable entry have a greater chance of winning."

All entries must be 100 words or less and can be in a written, visual or audio format.  Audio entries must play for no longer than three minutes and be 2MB or less.
