Police powers (April 2010, A5-sized)

This gives you information about what your clients can expect and what to do if  they have to deal with the police - giving your name and address, getting arrested, being searched, signing papers, taking part in identification parades. In this edition, we've moved chapters around and re-shaped the structure of sections within chapters. There's new information related to notices to appear, increased search powers for police and video recordings of interviews. We've added chapters about police powers for traffic offences and police powers for on-the-spot fines.

Your day in court (February 2010, A4-sized)

This is guide to the Magistrates' Court for people charged with a criminal offence. It's suitable for people going to court for the first time, and can help explain how to prepare and what to expect in court. In this edition, we've also made updates to reflect the new Criminal Procedures Act 2009 and the new Evidence Act 2008. There's information about new procedures such as the giving of notices to appear, summary case conferences and briefs of evidence.

Road to court (November 2009, A5-sized)

Another court publication, this popular resource is guide to the Magistrates' Court for people charged specifically with traffic offences. In this edition, we've included new and/or more information on restrictions probationary drivers, alcohol interlocks, impoundment and immobilisation and police powers. We've also updated Road to court in light of last year's changes to Road Safety Regulations.
